On a Saturday in late February, just as the weather was starting to warm
up a bit, the family went to Nepal's only zoo. It is located quite close to home and was begun as a private zoo
in the early 1930's. Opened to the public in the mid 1950's, it is now run
by The National Trust for Nature Conservation. It exceeded my rather
low expectations.
